The Aga Exchange

Installation, exchange and reconditioning for Aga Cookers

Electric Advanced conversions:

The ElectricKit Advanced can be installed into one of our fully refurbished aga cookers, or as a conversion for your existing oil or gas Aga Cooker.

The ElectricKit Advanced turns your Aga Cooker into an efficient electric model, controllable by touch screen or an app on your phone or tablet.

The ElectricKit Advanced includes two independent & fully controllable hob plates. This enables you to choose one or both hobs to be running and set each hob to the required heat, whether that be frying, boiling or simmer! The left-hand hob is more powerful than the right, like a traditional range cooker, giving faster heat up times. Now available with larger hot plates to aid with large pans or multiple pans. As an optional extra you can upgrade your left-hand hotplate to a 1.6kW induction hob for instant heat and even cheaper running costs.

The right-hand ovens can be adjusted to a temperature using the digital display on the control panel. This shows the target and current temperatures of your top right-hand oven. The bottom right-hand oven will automatically be around 60°C cooler than the top oven. There is an extra element underneath the bottom oven allowing you to manually increase this oven temperature as and when you need to for even more flexibility.

Summary:

The ElectricKit Advanced conversion utilizes elements placed directly above, between and below your cast iron ovens. Most of the elements inside work individually. The top oven element and the middle element will fire at the same time. The bottom oven element is controlled via its own dial inside the control panel, and the two hotplate elements are completely controllable.

The ElectricKit Advanced top oven elements have been carefully balanced to enhance and provide a uniform heat distribution throughout the top oven, this brings a much improved cooking experience which is more comparable to an original oil or gas cast iron range. The use of the bottom element can be used to accelerate the bottom oven heat up time and also raise the oven temperature further so that it can be used to bake or roast.

Right Hand Ovens (2 & 4 Oven Cookers)

Your desired temperature of the top oven can be set via the display (oven temperature range ambient to 280°C). Once set and if the oven requires heat, the top and middle oven elements energise heating both ovens. Under stable constant running conditions, the bottom oven runs at approximately 65% of the top oven temperature and this temperature can also be reduced with the use of a cold shelf.

ElectricKit Induction Hob (optional)

Elevate your cooker experience with an ElectricKit Induction Hob

A Faster Hob: Instant power, the Induction hob heats cookware faster than a traditional electric hob. Offering similar water boiling timings to that of a modern kettle (of the same power rating).

Highly efficient: Reduce your running cost, as Induction hobs use magnetic fields to generate heat directly into your cookware, where energy is not wasted. Traditional electric hobs lose energy when the heat is transferred from the heating element to the cookware.

Modern meets Traditional: The induction hob delivers superior performance with its sleek design that integrates effortlessly with the traditional look of your cooker.

ElectricKit Dual Radius Hob (Optional)

The brand new radiant hobs for the ElectricKit Advanced adds another flexible tool to your arsenal. No need to wait for the hotplates to heat up, start cooking immediately. You have control of two different modes Half Power (small ring only) and Full power (Both rings) for different size pans and different amounts of pans.

You can have this on the left-hand side of your cooker or both sides.
